Oracle

Our friends at the Marketing Practice asked us to produce an animation for Oracle using stock footage within their new Redwood branding.

 

Modernising retail

Adding movement to a new visual identity, presents some new challenges. The MediaNerd team took a deep dive into understanding Oracle’s new branding to create a beautiful combination of graphic styling, artistic texture animation and live video.

In this project we had to figure out how to bring the organic shapes to life and also find a interesting way to include the textures, the most interesting feature of the identity, in our opinion. The challenge here was to use texture in an essentially vector-based software like After Effects.

The characters were necessary to tell the story, so we designed them based on the brand guidelines and on the real people from the Stock Footage we used.

The visual guidelines were so successful that Oracle now use our animations to represent the standard required in the global brand guidelines for other creative teams to follow. We are humbled by the rewarding feedback and glad we were able to create something our friends at TMP so happy with.
